life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans

i am the biggest slacker ever. sorry, peeps. 

life has gotten in the way. between crazy periods at work, an office move, hosting various family members, a mini-vacation to chicago with fanboy, a summer where we don't want to hibernate until fall, and just enjoying time with our friends, life has been very busy chez cheeky! 

and now it is almost august. which means the august break is almost here! #augustbreak2014

july is coming to a close and it's almost time for susannah conway's august break! i've taken part in it for the past two years and i love it because there are no rules - just shoot and share photos. even if you don't have a blog, you can still join the fun on flickr.

has this month flown by at warp speed for anyone else? given that DC has been full of more record heat waves, i can't say i'm all that sad to say farewell july. however, i am really looking forward to august - lots of good stuff on the calendar! later this week, i'll be guest blogging on filling our bucket. i'm going to be participating in susannah conway's august break. i had so much fun with the 2011 august break that i want to do it again. and the most exciting part of august is that fanboy & i are off to montreal & quebec city for ten days to celebrate our 5th anniversary!
