is it friday yet? because i have a fun weekend on tap and i want it to start now! and since it's still rather steamy in the district, saturday's girls night we'll be imbibing a twist on my new favorite sangria:
cheeky's sangria slush
- 750ml red wine (rioja or shiraz are great for this)
- 2 cups of lemonade
- 1/2 cup bourbon
- 1/4-1/3 cup vanilla sugar
- zest of one lemon
stir together all ingredients in a large pitcher. pour into a freezer-safe container and freeze overnight.
spoon into wine glasses and serve.
